It seems to be a common phrase these days.... "I'm so busy." It gets used instead of "I'm doing great thanks, things are fantastic, I'm living the life I want." We wrap everything up into three little words... I'm. So. Busy.
Aren't we all busy? Isn't that the concept of living life? We are constantly living, doing, seeing, breathing and experiencing everything around us. As I was listening to a podcast the other day, they brought it to my attention how often we all express how busy we are. I'm beyond guilty for using this phrase... if someone asks how I am, I'll usually say "I'm good but busy." What does that mean exactly? Busy? I want to change this - instead of being busy I just want to live life, some days will be crazy and chaotic but it's a constant reminder that life is still moving whether we are busy or not.
I have three jobs, which I love. I have crazy hours, which most people don't understand. I don't get to spend as much time with my friends and family as I'd like. I don't ever want to be too busy not living. Not enjoying this world. We only have one life, may as well make it the best damn one we can.
I'm vowing to erase the phrase "I'm so busy," and attempt to replace it with "I'm living." It sounds much more fun than being busy anyways!
