Living MY Pure Barre Dream
Hours spent in the dimmed lights, counting final tens over and over until it was up to par. Endless moments thinking "How am I suppose to do this? What if they don't like me? What if I'm horrible? Could I sound more annoying?" The morning of February 2nd, 2013 the nerves were flowing and my mind was racing. I stepped into the room, put my mic on and clicked on November #1 2012 (my playlist). "Stack your forearms and lift your knees..." My first Pure Barre class had begun.
Today I have officially been a Pure Barre teacher for two years! Bringing the LTB love to 856 classes! Some days it is hard to remember what it was like those first few months of teaching, wondering if you'll ever sound as smooth as (insert kick ass teacher here).
Many times I have said how much I love our clients at Pure Barre Minneapolis; I can't seem to say it enough. These clients have become some of my dearest friends and supporters, sharing many of life's exciting moments together. From birthdays, engagements and celebrating a new baby or TWO! To me Pure Barre isn't just a place to workout but a community of women (and occasionally men) who all come together for a similar purpose; to better themselves.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to each of you who have stepped through the studio doors into one of my classes. You may not know how much your presence means to me -- I would not be where I am as a teacher (nor a person) without you. YOU are the reason I get to do what I love every single day. No matter what I throw at you, you give it 100% -- even if you are cursing me out under your breath, I know you're there for all the right reasons. Thank you to those who spend even a few minutes telling me about your life, your children, your struggles and accomplishments. I am so proud to be a teacher at Pure Barre Minneapolis, but even more proud to be part of YOUR life.
Thank you for constantly supporting my crazy antics and weird analogies, sitting through every reverse chair and dreaded lunge! Thank you for LTBing your seats off every day!
I am beyond grateful for y'all.
