It's Serious

Almost sixteen months of late nights, early mornings, arguing over it being too hot but occasionally too cold, spending winter by the fireplace and summer in the oasis; we decided to take it to the next level.

As of Tuesday, things got serious and we took it to the next level. The papers were signed and the keys were mine, all mine.

The Cottage, home sweet home for the last sixteen months, is officially my home.

Waking up this morning it still feels surreal, it's mine. All mine. WHAT?! I don't think it'll sink in for awhile, until something really important breaks and I have to replace it.

I have to take a brief moment here interwebs and say thank you to a few incredible people because without them, this would not have happened.

Elizabeth, Bets, to say I am lucky to know you and have you in my life would be an understatement. Thank you for trusting me to live in this home and to take over loving The Cottage. You and Molly made it the absolute perfect home, I look forward to the memories and moments I get to make here.

Erik and Toby, my neighbors, my Birchwood family, Team Nordin - one of the best real estate duos we have at Engel & Völkers. Thank you for always supporting me, guiding me through this entire process and accepting that we are permanent neighbors now! Love you guys so very much.

Lastly, to the only person I would trust with my financials enough to run numbers to get me a mortgage, Nate! Thank you for keeping me sane, for answering all of my questions, keeping me calm and reassuring me every step of the way. I literally could not have done this without you.

Dream Team, you are amazing! Now it's time to settle in, dream about house projects and attempt to plan a house warming party. Apparently that's the adult thing to do.

The Cottage and I officially have an anniversary date, with many years to celebrate in the future.
